Chris Kelly is an ambitious police officer and former Navy Pilot but is forced to leave the Navy because of decreased eyesight and joins the Santa Monica Police Department. She starts in the department as police officer in the Public Relations section but demands to be removed to a more serious part of the police after she succesfully chase and catch a criminal while she's on duty as PR officer.
